Direct Curtain takes your privacy very seriously. We ask that you read this privacy policy (the “Policy”) carefully as it contains important information about what to expect when Direct Curtain collects personal information about you and how Direct Curtain will use your personal data.

This Policy applies to information we collect on www.directcurtain.com and its sub-domains about:

i) visitors to our website (the “Site”); and

ii) people who register their names, phone numbers, and emails with us.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM ALL VISITORS TO OUR WEBSITE

We will obtain personal data about you when you visit us. When you visit us, we may monitor the use of this Site through the use of cookies and similar tracking devices. For example, we may monitor the number of times you visit our Site or which pages you go to. This information helps us to build a profile of our users. Some of this data will be aggregated or statistical, which means that we will not be able to identify you individually. Please see further the section on “Our Use of Cookies” below.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM USERS WHO REGISTER THEIR CONTACT DETAILS WITH US

When you register your contact details with us, we may use it for the following:

The information is used to track visitor use of the Site and to compile statistical reports on Site activity. 4. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We are committed to maintaining the security of personal information. We have put in place appropriate security procedures and technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal information. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, we use software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

5. ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION AND UPDATING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

Subject to the exceptions referred to in section 21(2) of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore (“PDPA”), you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please send an email to admin@directcurtain.com. We may make a small charge for this service.

We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If any of the information that you have provided to Direct Curtain changes, for example, if you change your email address, name or payment details, or if you wish to cancel your registration, please let us know the correct details by sending an email to admin@directcurtain.com. You may ask us, or we may ask you, to correct information you or we think is inaccurate, and you may also ask us to remove information which is inaccurate.

6. NON-DISCLOSURE

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to third parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, as long as these parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours and others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

7. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our Site may contain links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.

8. SALE OF BUSINESS

If Direct Curtain’s business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

9. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We keep our privacy policy under regular review. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times. This privacy policy was last updated on the 27th day of October 2018.

Blind quick measure guide

First, follow the orange lines to measure the window width and height.

Next, as a rule of thumb, add a 0.10m-0.15m (10-15cm) allowance to each side of the measurement. This will allow the blind to overlap the window and reduce light leakage from the sides.

For Illustration: Blind Width = Window Width + 0.10m + 0.10m

Blind Height (with beam) = Window Height + 0.10m

Blind Height (w/o beam) = Window Height + 0.10m + 0.10m 

In the above example, there is a beam right above the window. As the blind’s headrail will be mounted on the beam directly, there is no need to add 10cm to the top.

If there is no beam, the blinds will be mounted 10cm upwards from the top of the window frame.

Notes:  1 . The 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) allowance is a general guide, it can be more or less depending on individual’s preference. The more overlap you have, the lesser will be the ambient light leakage.

2. All blinds measurements are inclusive of the headrail & bottom bar. For roller/combi blinds, please note that the fabric width will be approximately 1.25~1.5 inches (3.2~3.8 cm) narrower than the headrail.

For curtain width, generally it will be from wall-to-wall. You can easily estimate the width from the floorplan.
 
For HDB beam-to-floor, the height is usually 2.1m to 2.23m approximately.
 
For HDB ceiling-to-floor, the height is usually 2.4m to 2.7m approximately.
 
For Illustration:
Curtain Width = Wall-to-Wall Width
 
Curtain Height (beam) = Beam to Floor Height
 
Curtain Height (ceiling) = Ceiling to Floor Height 
 
Notes:
1. As long as the required height is not more than 2.60-2.85m, it won’t affect the price. Generally, without joining fabrics, 100% blackout curtains can support till 2.45-2.65m height, and Dim-out curtains can support till 2.85m height. (This also depends on the type of fabrics.)
 
2. We only work with curtain tracks or rails. We do not carry curtains rods/poles regrettably.
 
P.S.
For curtain, normally it will be done from beam-to-floor to save some floor space.
 

Delivery + Installation Fee & Notes

1) Delivery plus installation starts at min. $80 for up to 5 indoor items. Additional indoor items are at $10 each. (For mainland Singapore only.)
 
2) Outdoor Roller Blinds start at $50 per item. Zip Blinds are at $80 per set.
 
3) Other items such as motors, exceptional tall ceilings & etc will require a custom estimate.
 
4) Delivery only (without installation), Self-collection and/or DIY installation can be arranged as desired to save on costs.
 
5) If the unit is not at lift level, stair-climbing charges are applicable. This is the same for within a Landed property, HDB Executive Maisonette, Condo Penthouse & similar.
 

Site Survey Fee & Notes

1) A nominal on-site consultation fee of $50 is payable upfront ($70 for Semi-D or similar). It will be used as a CREDIT towards purchases of more than $480. (In the event of non-purchase, this fee is non-refundable due to time & labour spent.)
 
(If the site is not ready or if there is a change of mind after the first site visit, subsequent site surveys will be chargeable and are not reimbursable.)
 
2) The best time to do a site survey is after installation of the window grilles, carpentry around window, flooring, aircon & trunking, electrical casing and curtain pelmet are completed, as all these will affect the measurements. If the painting is also done, it is also easier to match the colours to your room walls.
 
3) During the site survey, we will bring along the popular fabrics samples. If you wish to view a wider range of fabrics, you can make an appointment to visit our showroom in Woodlands.
 
4) For DIY measure, the site survey fee is not required. Do note that you have to be confident of your measurements, as alteration fees for “big to small” are applicable. “Small to big” alterations are impossible. Additional transport charges are required for re-delivery. We can also guide you to measure if desired.
 
5) In any case, we can give you a free estimate over your floorplan or measurements first, so you can decide if we are a good fit before committing to a site survey. :)
